Ministry Emphasis and Vision Statement
-Proclaiming the saving and healing power of Christ to a lost and dying world
-Edifying local churches through Christ-centered preaching and teaching of God's word
Originally from La Romana, Dominican Republic, Edwin came to the U.S. in 2001. He received the call to ministry while serving in the U.S. Army and has had the privilege of serving Christ in various capacities. His current ministry includes preaching and teaching in churches, conducting evangelistic campaigns and teaching theology, Bible, and ministry at Bible institutes and Christian universities in English and Spanish. A graduate of Rhema Bible Training College, Edwin earned bachelor's and master's degrees in ministry and theology from Oklahoma Wesleyan University and Oral Roberts University. He is a licensed minister with the General Council of the Assemblies of God, USA. Edwin is married to Veronica, and they have a son, Samuel.
My Vision for the Local Church in the 21st Century
Local churches and their pastors are incredibly important in the plan of God. Churches serve as preaching points and discipleship centers that can change entire communities. My vision for the local church is two-fold:

1. Partner with churches to conduct evangelistic campaigns that emphasize salvation and healing in order to reach the lost. These campaigns can be in tents or other venues that help us take the gospel outside of the church building.

2. Help build the local body of Christians through Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered ministry of God's word. In my case, this building up normally takes place through preaching and teaching that calls the saints to steadfast faith in God, deeper intimacy with the Holy Spirit and personal involvement in God's work.

My Definition of an Evangelist, and His/Her Role in Revival
An evangelist is a person called by God to proclaim the gospel with the goal of seeing people saved, healed and delivered from the power of sin and Satan. I believe the role of an evangelist is primarily to proclaim the gospel and heal the sick in the Name of Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit (Luke 9:1-2, 6; Acts 8:5-8). This will in turn bring revival to communities and churches as precious people are brought into the kingdom of God.

Additionally, being part of the five-fold ministry gifts (Eph. 4:11-13), an evangelist can work together with local pastors and nurture their congregations. An evangelist can bring messages from God's word that stir God's people to personal revival and a closer walk with Jesus.
