Biography
Sam Farina is an evangelist and life coach. He is passionate about encouraging people, training believers, and partnering with leaders to help them lead from a faith perspective.

Sam’s credentials make him a leader among men. He has been a pastor and evangelist under the auspices of the Assemblies of God for 30 years, and he earned a Master's of Arts in Christian Education from AGTS in 2005. In addition, Sam is a member of the International Coaching Federation and adheres and teaches the competencies required for their certification. Also, Sam is certified as a Network Congregational Coach with Leadership Development Resources and holds certification with Valwood Christian Leadership Coaching.

After serving as a Senior Pastor in Concord, North Carolina, Sam returned to the evangelistic field. The General Council of the Assemblies of God conferred his Certificate of Ordination in 1977. Since that time, Sam has traveled extensively conducting services, retreats, crusades, summer youth and family camps and addressing students in public and private schools throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Australia. He has taught pastors in pastoral settings and has been actively involved in training youth leaders in Poland and Romania.

In the fall of 1993, Sam was asked to address 15,000 pastors at the 45th General Council of the Assemblies of God. The General Council, which convenes biennially, is considered the most significant forum of the Assemblies of God in the United States. Sam has published articles in various church-related magazines and newsletters such as Evangelists’ Fellowship, The Youth Leader, Advance, and the Pentecostal Evangel, and he has been a featured guest on several Christian radio and television broadcasts.

In his local community, Sam has served on the Steering Committee of Envision Cabarrus for the greater Cabarrus County. He has also served on the Convention and Visitors Board and Crime Stoppers Board as Vice-Chairman and on the Board of Directors for Hope for the City in Chicago, Illinois, an inner-city ministry to Cabrini Green and the Robert Taylor Housing Projects. Sam spent 10 years serving as co-director of Chicago Outreach, an inner-city ministry. He has also served for three years as co-director of the Youth Advisory Board, an international gathering of youth ministers. In addition, Sam has served on both the Spiritual Life Committee and the National Evangelists’ Committee of the General Council of the Assemblies of God.

Sam was selected as an Outstanding Young Man of America for 1979 in recognition of outstanding professional achievement, superior leadership ability, and exceptional service to the community.

Sam is married to his college sweetheart, Vicki. Together they have one married son, and in August 2007 they were blessed with their first granddaughter. Sam and Vicki reside in Huntersville, North Carolina.
