Ministry Emphasis and Vision Statement
My passion is to see the Church actively demonstrating the love of God through the character of Jesus Christ and the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit--both inside the church walls and outside.

Biography
I was born and raised in the Assemblies of God, baptized in water at the age of 8, baptized in the Holy Spirit at the age of 11 at a Royal Ranger camp, and called into ministry at 17. I've lived in Plymouth, Michigan for my entire life, and have been happily married to my wife, Robin, since June 7th, 2009.

After being physically healed by God's power of many conditions--such as a heart murmur, degenerative disc disease, tendonitis, ADHD, depression, chronic allergies and sinus problems, and more--I started diligently seeking a gift of healing. In 2009, I saw someone healed for the first time--a church intern who had a severe ear infection (and no insurance) that had progressed to near deafness. Since that time, physical healing has become something I minister everywhere I go--whether churches, restaurants, or grocery stores. In April of 2011, I was healed of degenerative disc disease within a week of launching into traveling ministry, and God used that powerfully to confirm my mission.

My first 16 years of life were spent attending Canton Calvary A/G. After that, I was at Northville Christian A/G for 3 years before leaving to help plant a church in Fowlerville, Michigan: Fowlerville Freedom Center, A/G. I was there for four years leading worship and the youth ministry until I was engaged to my wife and returned to Northville Christian. There I served as an assistant pastor of student ministries for 2 1/2 years before launching into full-time traveling ministry in April 2011. Northville Christian is still my home church.

Since that time, I've ministered in Uganda, Kenya, India, China, and multiple European nations. Both in person and through YouTube, I have trained tens of thousands of people to minister healing in Jesus' name, and I'd be happy to share with your church as well.

My Vision for the Local Church in the 21st Century
My passion is to see every member of the local church actively walking in the love of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. I believe the local church is to be a "base of operations" for the greatest rescue mission of all time--sending out workers to bring in the wounded and lost...and see them transformed!

Paul said in 2 Corinthians 3:18 that "We all" are being transformed into Christ's likeness with "ever-increasing glory." Combine this with Jesus' promise that those who believe in Him would do greater works than He did (John 14:12), and add to that Paul's teaching that apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers are given to the Church so that we may all grow up into "the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." Given all this, I would suggest that as a people, the 21st Century Church should be even more glorious than the 1st Century church in the book of Acts. I believe that Jesus has made this possible and that the Holy Spirit is already accomplishing it throughout the world. God is on the move!

My Definition of an Evangelist, and His/Her Role in Revival
The Greek word for “evangelize” means to preach or proclaim good news—particularly the Gospel of Jesus Christ. An evangelist, then, is someone whom Christ has given to proclaim His good news for the edification of the Church. Our theme is the Gospel, and the nature of our role is to declare just how good and wonderful the message of Jesus is (seeing it confirmed by the signs that the Lord sends to accompany the message).

Since Ephesians 4:12 says that our ministry is to "prepare God’s people for works of service," it's clear that a primary purpose of our role is to equip the Church. Evangelism isn't the sole responsibility of the evangelist. Rather, the evangelist often declares the Gospel to the Church so they can then accurately convey that same Good News to the world.

This doesn't mean we won't have opportunities to share the Gospel ourselves. On the contrary, consider the story of Philip in Acts 8:4-8. Of particular interest to me is verse 8, which says that “there was great joy” in the city Philip visited. The evangelist’s role is to bring “good news of great joy” to whomever will listen—both within the church (to train, revive, and equip) and outside the church (to minister salvation with power).

Other Comments
My wife and I are happy to minister at any church of any size. All we ask is that fuel and modest lodging be covered. You can check my itinerary at http://go.ArtThomas.org and can also find an invitation form there.
