Dave has served the past 5 years as the Director of Outreach and Formation for Second Place Church in Monee, IL., and heads up community outreach for a local charitable non-profit, Provision Lab Inc. Concurrent to these roles Dave also serves as the Church Engagement Manager for Christians Against Poverty, a global ministry recently launched here in the U.S. (www.capamerica.org)

Previous to this he spent eight years as the National Director of Alpha for Campus and Youth (Alpha USA). Alpha seeks to introduce the basics of the Christian faith through a series of video talks and personal interaction.

Dave was a national resource specialist for Chi Alpha Campus Ministries, a missions arm of the Assemblies of God, for two years before accepting his role with Alpha USA. He and his wife Valerie, are 30-year veteran campus ministers and have pioneered campus ministries throughout the U.S and overseas.

Dave and Valerie have traveled extensively in and outside of the United States working with numerous churches and university ministries, having lived both in the Philippines and Malaysia. Dave is passionate about reaching the lost, serving the least, and raising up leaders.

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt should lose its taste, how can it be made salty again? It's no longer good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand, and it gives light for all who are in the house."  Matthew 5:13-15

Evangelism is not solely for those gifted in evangelism. Many pastors and church members would say they are not primarily gifted as evangelists.

Instead, evangelism is a responsibility meant to be practiced by everyone in the church. An evangelist plays the primary role of, "equipping God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up."
